Dr. Lugovsky graduated from one of the leading Medical School in Ukraine, Kiev Medical University in 1985, after which he did his post graduate specialization training in Neurosurgery at the Institute of Neurosurgery Academy of Medical Sciences of Kiev, Ukraine. He then did his Ph.D. in Endovascular Neurosurgery at the Institute of Neurosurgery in Kiev, Ukraine.
Dr. Lugovsky practiced for 15 years in Kiev, Ukraine as a Neurosurgeon at the Institute of Neurosurgery in Department of Endovascular Neurosurgery and Department of Vascular Neurosurgery.
Dr. Lugovsky has extensive experience in:
- Diagnostic cerebral and spinal angiography
- Embolization of cerebral, dural and spinal arterio-venous malformations
- Coiling of Arterial Aneurysm
- Carotid-cavernous fistula occlusion
- Intra-arterial trombolysis
- Balloon dilatation and stenting of stenotic lesions of carotid and vertebral arteries (both extra and intra-cranial segments)
- Embolization of highly vascular cerebral and spinal tumors
- Endovascular superselective chemotherapy of brain tumors
